Netflix and Production I.G made this short to test how far hand-drawn anime could go in 4K, HDR and immersive sound. Directed by Akira Saitoh, it is pure image and music, with no dialogue: a fantasy battle told through huge painted backgrounds and fluid animation. Netflix later released the film and its production files for anyone to use.
